A pair of woven chairs, from Northern Europe, dating from 1950. The basket-form seats are suspended within slender black metal frames, whose high, continuous arms create an elegant and distinctive profile.

Unattributed but beautifully resolved, they reflect the understated approach to materials and form that defined much post-war design across Northern Europe. They are in very good vintage condition.
