A mid-20th-century vernacular stool with a solid, slightly asymmetric rectangular top, its subtly shaped edges giving it a softer, less formal outline. Traditionally constructed, the four stick legs are secured through the seat with visible wedged tenons, a detail that reflects its practical, handmade origins. The timber has developed a warm, naturally worn surface through years of use. A pleasing piece of utilitarian furniture, equally useful today as a stool or small side table.
