Geometric Abstract Painting by Simon E. Taib, C1970
A geometric abstract painting on board by Simon E. Taib, dating to the 1970s. The composition is structured around a series of radiating lines and intersecting geometric forms, with strong outlines defining areas of colour. A palette of citrus yellow, olive green and soft ochre contrasts with passages of turquoise, deep blue and small accents of red. The arrangement of converging lines creates a sense of movement and rhythm, while the visible brushwork and variations in paint density lend texture to the surface.
Taib exhibited paintings and pastels at the Galerie d'Hallencourt in Autun, Burgundy, in 1977, documented by an original exhibition poster acquired alongside a small collection of his work.
Signed lower right and presented in its original simple wooden frame.
