A vintage oil on board depicting a seated male nude. Painted in a restrained palette of dusty rose, plum, ochre and muted olive, with the figure built up through simplified, angular planes of colour.

There is a quiet Modernist quality to the work, with a loose handling of the figure and a strong sense of shape and composition. Unsigned, with some light surface wear consistent with age.

Presented in a hand-painted wooden tray frame, made specifically for the piece.
