An early 20th-century French painted wooden kitchen cupboard, made as a practical working piece with an unusual combination of drawers and storage. Two deep lower drawers sit beneath a pair of smaller drawers and a shelved cupboard, with a pull-out preparation board to one side and a simple wooden rail to the other.

Retaining its original off-white painted finish and brass cup handles, the surface has developed a gently worn patina through years of use. A particularly good example of simple, functional French kitchen furniture from the period.

In good vintage condition, with wear, marks and losses to the original paint consistent with age and use.
