A beautiful French leather pouffe, dating from the 1920s. Traditionally constructed with a sprung horsehair interior over a wooden frame and raised on short timber feet.

The heavy, grained leather is a warm caramel tone, finished with contrasting ivory-coloured piping that accentuates its simple cylindrical form. Over the past century, the leather has developed a wonderfully rich and varied patina, with deeper tones across the domed top and subtle traces of its history and use.  In good antique condition.
