An original Arts & Crafts refectory table by Heal's, crafted in limed oak with the simple, honest construction that defines the movement, c1920.  Raised on trestle-style supports with a stretcher base, the table has a restrained architectural form and a beautifully mellow surface.

The original Heals lozenge mark was once present but has since been removed, a detail reflected in several surviving examples from the period.  This table is one of a matching pair, both in good antique condition, and available separately.
