A small collection of four rectangular cushions made from antique hemp grain sacks, dyed a rich mineral green. The old hemp has a substantial, irregular weave and a softly textured surface, with subtle variations in colour and character inherited from the original fabric.

Each cushion is made locally, with a buttoned closure finished with hemp buttons from Merchant & Mills and a locally made feather-filled pad. One of the four retains the original red embroidered initials ‘KE’ at the corner, a small detail preserved from the grain sack's former use.
