A unique French table lamp dating from around 1950, handmade by an architect for use in his own architectural studio.

Constructed in painted metal with a tripod base, the lamp has a wonderfully functional design, with an adjustable cylindrical shade and simple geometric frame. The brilliant blue and off-white palette gives the piece a strong sense of individual character.

The original painted surfaces show age-related wear and marking, adding to the honest, utilitarian character of this one-off piece.

Professionally rewired and PAT tested.
