A large handmade French studio pottery lamp by Poterie du Don, C1970 - 80. The salt-glazed stoneware body has a warm ochre surface, with light bands of dark brown and blue with naive, scribed floral decoration.

Founded in 1977, Poterie du Don is known for its salt-glazed stoneware, produced in the Aveyron region of southern France. The lamp is signed to the base.

Rewired with hessian cord and PAT tested, and finished with a bespoke elongated drum shade in natural hessian.
