Exceptional Unused Antique Welsh Wholecloth Quilt

An exceptional example of an antique whole cloth Welsh quilt. This quilt is a very rare piece that has never been used. It still holds the lustre of the cotton sateen finish and has a light lambswool batting. It is a deep berry colour one side with a pale pink reverse. The quilt has been expertly stitched in a very traditional Welsh quilt design featuring a central coin with leaves. The borders have spirals, leaves and flowers. This really is a rare piece.
