Large 19th Century Neapolitan Glazed Ceramic Pot
A large hand thrown antique ceramic storage pot from Naples, Italy which would have originally been used for storage of foods such as fruits and olives. With a lovely thick hand-touched surface which is finished with the soft wash of an old-white glaze. The edge is tipped with a light touch of bold yellow which has dripped slightly to the edge. In very good condition without chips or cracks but showing some light loss to the glaze.
