He ranks alongside Irving Penn and Richard Avedon as one of the pre-eminent fashion and portrait photographers of the 20th century.

This is a biography of sorts, containing: 29 illustrations, 39 colour and 161 duotone plates - portraits, fashion, landscapes, still life, travel.
